This report is a preliminary effort to explore trends in salaries of the highest paid executives working at two groups of independent schools: large schools (over 700 students) that are members of the National Association of Independent Schools, and schools that are members of the California Association of Independent Schools. This 2022 edition is the first year that we conducted this undertaking, and as such any conclusions stated or inferred should be viewed as preliminary. We would welcome input and feedback as we plan future research.
