Are You Prepared for the Dynamics of a Virtual Interview?

Did you know that escape rooms can be played remotely? The game is identical — with the same clues, content, and objective — but team dynamics are thrown for a loop when everyone is online. The same is true for performance tasks during a job search. You still have to show your creative and collaborative sides, but the mechanics are very different. During a virtual interview, take time to separate content challenges from process challenges, and prepare for each accordingly. Then think about what additional process steps are required virtually, such as intentionally calling out moments of discussion, collaboration, or idea generation. Don't take anything for granted virtually, or else you may find yourself unable to “escape” the challenge of a key performance task.
