Being Brief in Your Answers During an Interview

In an interview, rather than stating your skills in a rote fashion, try highlighting your accomplishments and offering salient insights.

Being Brief in Your Answers During an Interview

Your skills can be listed on your resume. Sharing your accomplishments will likely give you the opportunity to explain your approach and strategy that led to a successful result. Offering insights on other situations will allow you to show your “consultant’s mindset” and not simply sound like you are boasting about your personal accomplishments. A balanced approach to interviewing through storytelling, analysis, and creative narration is almost always the best tactic...though remember the most important tip of all: be brief in your answers, and always leave your audience wanting more!
