Creating a Job Description That Will Attract the Right Candidates

This set of aspirational ideals will be your north star when assessing candidates. But when the application window closes and no candidate has checked off every box, don’t despair. For candidates with great leadership qualities but lacking on key experience, determine whether they have learned on the job before.  For candidates with relevant experience but not the right observed qualities, find out if the application process masked their true characteristics.  In a word, check references...a lot of them!  The art of hiring is recognizing that perfect candidates exist only in job descriptions and opportunity statements.
