At times, kicking off the hiring process can feel like a frantic task. Your organization may have lost a valued team member in a pivotal time. Perhaps one department of your organization feels overwhelmed or under-supported.  Maybe your organization is rapidly growing and needs a new leader to consolidate or restructure operations. Even in times like these, it is still a good idea to step back and strategize a transition from a long-term perspective, even if all that occurs at an accelerated pace. Your next hire may be an individual who catalyzes new goals or sets a different vision, or that next leader might come in with a different perspective on immediate priorities. In almost all situations, it is usually wise to step back and assess, especially in a time of stress!
