In Times Of Uncertainty, Clarity Is Key When Running a Search

With COVID-19 still present, some employers remain understandably uncertain about staffing and hiring. At the same time, many talented job seekers are experiencing dead ends and holding patterns as they await hiring decisions. During these challenging times, it’s OK to pause or even shelve a search.  But if you decide to go forward with a hire, clarity is now more than ever the essence--so that talented candidates know they won’t be wasting their time.  Be crystal clear on application deadlines, interview schedules, semifinal dates, and final rounds.  Ideally, the only variable for each round would be in-person or remote. Ships at night need a bright lighthouse to find their way through thick fog.  Candidates, too, look for a little extra reassurance during times of great uncertainty.
