North HollywoodOakwood School is a two-campus, K-12 coeducational day school in North Hollywood, California that opened its doors in 1951. Now with over 830 students in grades K-12, the school has remained faithful to its original mission ever since: to create a diverse educational environment where young people are partners with the adults; where preparing students for the future occurs by immersing them in the present; where joy and humor prevail alongside academic rigor; and where authentic relationships engage students with their teachers, one another, and the world around them.
With an operating budget of approximately $50M, Oakwood seeks a director of finance to oversee the finance department that includes three other dedicated professionals. The role requires hands-on management of the school’s day-to-day finance operations, as well as a strategic approach to long-term financial planning. As Oakwood enters a multiyear chapter of three separate capital campaigns that will trigger significant construction and development, the director of finance will also play a role in cash management, debt financing, and banking partnerships. The director of finance reports to the chief operations officer and interfaces with department heads across both campuses. Oakwood looks forward to welcoming the director of finance in spring 2025, to allow for a graceful hand-off with the outgoing director of finance, who will be retiring at the end of the ’24-’25 school year.

Since its founding in 1939, Town School has been committed to providing a dynamic and engaging environment that suits the developmental learning needs of boys. An ideal candidate for the HUS will be a steady but warm leader–someone who can foster a positive and collaborative environment, but not shy away from holding both students and faculty accountable to high expectations. The HUS should have experience fostering educational improvements through effective systems that are robust yet adaptable, and above all else be comfortable with a leadership model of highly-engaged and interconnected deans, administrators, and head of school. San Francisco, CALive Oak is hiring for a lower school division director (LSDD) to start July 1, 2025.
Live Oak School, a K-8 independent school in the heart of urban San Francisco, believes that the best learning happens when students are actively engaged in the process — thinking deeply, exploring ideas, and trying on strategies for solving problems. The school’s approach to teaching and learning is deeply rooted in progressive tradition and informed by contemporary research. Live Oak anchors its instructional program around the students as individual learners, determined to prepare them for the opportunities that will define the lives of graduates in the twenty-first century.
This year, Live Oak transitioned to a new program leadership model to provide even greater support for day-to-day divisional management, while still allowing for continued progress on strategic program priorities. Both division directors (Lower School and Middle School) report to the head of divisions, who next year will become the associate head of school. Because this model was finalized only late in the spring earlier this calendar year, the school appointed one-year acting directors for both divisions from within the faculty for the 24-25 school year.
Now, open application calls for both permanent division directors are running concurrently this fall, in advance of the 25-26 year. The LSDD supervises, coaches, and evaluates all faculty in grades K-4, and oversees several areas of the lower school academic program, including: implementation for curricular and student strategies; communication and engagement with guardians; and student success and restorative practices. With a highly interconnected educational environment, Live Oak is excited to run both these searches at the same time— to identify mission-aligned divisional leaders eager to collaborate with each other and other members of the Program Leadership Team, which starting in 25-26 will be led by the associate head of school.

New York, NYThe Chapin School, established in 1901, is an outstanding K-12 independent day school for girls in New York City. Committed to fostering both the intellectual and personal growth of its students, Chapin prepares them to thrive and lead in a global society through a rigorous liberal arts education. This education is paired with an emphasis on curiosity, creativity, and integrity. Chapin’s distinctive approach includes empowering students within a diverse and inclusive community, where collaboration and respect for differing viewpoints are key components of the learning experience.
Chapin’s sense of community is deeply rooted in the relationships among students, teachers, parents, and alumnae. The School fosters these connections through various programs, advisory groups, and collaborative teaching practices that encourage respect and understanding. The tradition of bringing together alumnae and current students creates a multi-generational bond that enriches the School’s culture. Parents are also very engaged, participating in Chapin’s active Parents’ Association and in events, and supporting the School’s mission. The School’s K-Class 12 students learn under one roof in a building comprising over 160,000 square feet of learning space, which supports Chapin’s unique sense of continuity and community.
The Chapin School is now seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Technology to lead and manage the School’s technology strategy and operations. Reporting to the CFOO and leading a team of four IT/IS professionals, the Director of Technology oversees an operationally-focused department in charge of managing the School’s IT infrastructure, data/systems environment, and help desk services. In parallel, three Technology Integrators—one for each division—work with faculty and report up to the three Division Heads (Lower, Middle, and Upper). The Director of Technology liaises regularly with those Technology Integrators and other academic leaders and teaching professionals, so Chapin seeks someone with exceptional IT/IS skills and a forward-thinking vision, exceptional project management skills, and eagerness to work in an educational environment. Chapin is hoping to make a hiring decision by the end of 2024, and then will work with the next Director to determine a mutually agreeable start date in either the first or second quarter of 2025.

TQS serves just under 100 students from kindergarten through grade 12, along with a Real-World Ready program for students 1-2 years out of high school.
